• Began his law enforcement career with the Kentucky State Police in 1975
• Assigned as a trooper in Daviess County for first 10 years.
• Promoted to rank of Sergeant in 1987.
• Promoted to rank of Lieutenant in 1993.
• Graduate of the FBI National Academy in 1993.
• Graduate of the Kentucky State Police Academy.
• Served the majority of his state police career in the area of Criminal Investigations Supervision.
• Served for several years as a panel member of the Jefferson County Police Department's Promotional Board.
• Retired from the Kentucky State Police in August of 2000 as Assistant Commander of the Henderson Post.
• Assumed duties of Daviess County Jailer on January 6, 2003.
